This tour is a 13-day journey that combines the vibrant culture, stunning natural beauty, and luxurious amenities of Sri Lanka and the Maldives. On the first day of your arrival, you will be met by a Lanka Classy Tours representative who will assist you with your transportation to the hotel. Heritance Negombo is a luxury beachfront resort located in the coastal town of Negombo, known for its beautiful beaches and historical sites. You will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary for orphaned and injured elephants located in the village of Pinnawala. You will have the opportunity to see these majestic creatures up close as they are cared for by the sanctuary staff. After observing the elephants, you can also enjoy the elephant bathing point near Pinnawala, where you can watch the elephants as they play and bathe in the river. Later in the day, you will proceed to Kandy and check into the Aarunya Nature Resort and Spa, a luxury eco-friendly resort nestled in the lush green hills of Kandy. Alternatively, you can visit the picturesque Sembuwatta Lake, located about 25 kilometers from Kandy. The lake is nestled amidst the lush green hills of the central highlands and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You can enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the lake or take a refreshing dip in the cool, clear waters. Alternatively, you can visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, located about 6 kilometers from Kandy. First, you will visit a tea plantation, located in the rolling hills near Kandy. You will proceed to the Yala National Park, where you will check into the Wild Coast Tented Lodge. Your expert guide will take you through the park in a specially designed jeep, and provide you with insights into the various animal species and their behaviors. You can also enjoy the stunning natural scenery of the park, including the beautiful lakes, forests, and grasslands. You will depart from the Yala National Park and head towards Colombo, the bustling capital city of Sri Lanka. However, before reaching Colombo, you will make two stops along the way - the Galle Dutch Fort and the Madu River. The Galle Dutch Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. Built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, the fort was later expanded by the Dutch, and today, it is a charming and picturesque town with narrow streets, colonial architecture, and beautiful sea views. After exploring the Galle Dutch Fort, you will proceed to the Madu River, a beautiful river located in the southern part of Sri Lanka. Here, you can take a boat ride through the mangroves, enjoying the beautiful scenery and spotting various species of birds, reptiles, and other wildlife.
